Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our tortoise rescue and sanctuary! We are located in Ames, IA. We are an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a Licensed Animal Welfare Facility. Our organization’s purposes are to rescue, rehabilitate, and foster tortoises that are sick or unwanted and in need of a home; to adopt those in good health to suitable, loving, forever homes; to provide a sanctuary for as many as possible or those in poor and irrecoverable health; and to educate the public in the proper care of tortoises.
